Who better to create The Huntsman shirt than Emma Willis, probably the best bespoke shirt maker in our land today.
Since September 2015 Huntsman Creative Director Campbell Carey and Emma Willis design teams collaborated to produce two new and exclusive Huntsman shirt patterns, conceived to sit perfectly under our suits and with a raft of Huntsman DNA details that define luxury and skilled craftsmanship. Our slim fit shirt is for those who prefer a trimmer cut (but not too tight!) whilst our classic fit, is for those who prefer a little more ease!
September 2015 sees Huntsman welcome an exclusive partnership between our two houses. Shared customers and values mean that there was an instant understanding between our cutting and design teams. Working together for our Autumn Winter 2015 collection, Huntsman and Emma Willis have produced two new and exclusive Huntsman shirt patterns, conceived to sit perfectly under our suits and with a raft of Huntsman DNA details that define luxury and skilled craftsmanship. Our slim fit shirt is for those who prefer a trimmer cut (but not too tight!) whilst our classic fit, is for those who prefer a little more ease and a good lunch!
Our shirts have a medium spread collar, designed by Huntsman Creative Director, Campbell Carey. They also feature a split yoke for better fit, placket front and mother of pearl buttons. Attention to detail throughout is paramount, as can be seen in our “shirt anatomy” diagram shown below.
The Huntsman shirts are hand cut and hand made at Emma’s beautiful Bearland House factory, a handsome 18th century townhouse in the heart of Gloucester. Her team of shirtmakers use traditional techniques, hand trimming and hand turning the collars on each shirt to ensure clean sharp points and perfect lines.
Our shirts have been kept simple in terms of their colourways, allowing for cut and detail to speak for themselves and ensure that each shirt works with our full range of tailoring, knitwear and ties. Pinks, blues, white and herringbone are the perfect ground for any suit and have a timeless elegance that sits harmoniously within the Huntsman brief.
p.s. we are now also able to offer an in-house hand monogramming and embroidery service. Our Bespoke Cutter Antonia Ede recently completed a diploma in embroidery, qualify with flying colours and demonstrating a real talent in this field. A monogram is a lovely way of personalising a shirt, it’s position allowing an opportunity for extra flourish. Email us to discover the range of possibilities.
