Huntsman has teamed up with Cad & The Dandy to sew scrubs for healthcare workers in the fight against COVID 19
Now more than ever is the time to show support for the NHS. Whilst regular business is halted, our team of Cutters and Tailors are lending their skills to sew medical scrubs for NHS healthcare workers. Joining forces with The Scrub Club and fellow tailoring house Cad and the Dandy, we are glad to play our part to show our appreciation for the brave men and women working tirelessly to combat this disease.
Cloth merchant Dugdale Bros & Co have donated 6 rolls of cloth, ensuring the production and number of garments delivered can be increased to meet growing demand, however it is the generosity of the public that is making this project possible, with donations being used to purchase cloth and trimmings for as many garments as possible.
To make a donation please visit Crowdfunding to Sew Scrubs for the NHS on JustGiving.
“We’re coming up with new ways to make the scrubs even better, perhaps something nobody’s thought about before. We’re not just making these quickly, we’re making them really durable as well.”
- Francesca Lee Kerwin, Huntsman Trouser Maker
From their homes and confinement of the Huntsman workshop, the team of tailors and cutters work to produce 50 sets of scrubs in time it would usually take to create a single bespoke garment, using the combined skill of the individuals to produce workwear which will endure.
