Huntsman Collaborates with Moda Operandi to Create Exclusive Capsule Collection

Introducing A Limited-edition collection featuring four exclusive, made-to-order pieces

 

Huntsman has collaborated with Moda Operandi, the world’s leading platform for fashion discovery, debuting a limited-edition four-piece capsule collection created using an exclusive new tartan designed at 11 Savile Row.

In tradition with Huntsman’s bespoke model, each piece in the collection is made-to-order from the exclusive, limited edition cloth.

Inspired by Moda Operandi Men’s colour palette of moss green, with accents of blush, cornflower blue and canary, the collection features a specially-commissioned Scotland registered tartan cloth, and includes a single-breasted suit, double-breasted suit, raglan sleeve trench coat, and a Chesterfield overcoat. 

    

“It’s always a thrill to work with a group that has as much history at Huntsman. Savile Row’s tradition of clothing making is among the most storied in the world,” says Moda Operandi’s Menswear Fashion and Buying Director Josh Peskowitz, who describes the collection as one which was fun to make and will be fun to wear!  “ In designing our own tartan out of decidedly modern colors — ones that are used in the Moda brand Identity.

Famous for making iconic bespoke cloth for discerning ladies and gentlemen for over 100 years, collaborating with Moda to create a totally new and unique tartan was a project that Huntsmans Creative Director, Campbell Carey savored. 

“This collaboration had a clear objective, resulting in a totally unique finished article. The Moda team were certainly not afraid of going big and bold in the design of their house tartan, this twinned with the four Huntsman iconic looks makes for a truly special collection,”

Working with the team at Moda, the entire project, from concept to completion took place at 11 Savile Row. It was also the first tartan of its kind to be sampled on Huntsman’s house loom, with the creative team from Moda working closely with our in house Expert Weaver to find the perfect color composition for the cloth.

 As a house celebrated as 'Contemporary since 1849', creating and sampling bespoke cloth in-house on our own handloom is just one of the ways Huntsman is proud to offer an even more elevated service to our clients.
