Behind The Partnership
Huntsman is delighted to announce a new partnership with the House of Hazelwood. Together, we present an exceptional limited edition whisky and an exquisite cloth in a collaboration that pays homage to craftsmanship, heritage, and bespoke practices. The collaboration signifies a symbolic celebration of an important milestone for Huntsman - the arrival of our 175th anniversary in 2024.
The whiskies in the House of Hazelwood collection are made with spirit from the Gordon family's private collection, which has been accumulated over generations. The collection includes whiskies from some of the most iconic distilleries in Scotland, such as Glenfiddich, Balvenie, and Kininvie. Spanning seven decades and every corner of Scotland, these diverse whiskies held in cask tell stories of remarkable places, lost ways of working, first casks, last casks, the ambitions and achievements of several lifetimes – none of which will be repeated again.
This once-private collection is now available to those outside the immediate family in small batches hand-selected for release. These are intricate and compelling whiskies – a bridge between the past and the present, each parcel remarkable by virtue of its character, its history or its method of production. Each release creates a window into a time, place and story that is completely unique.
Behind The Blend
Drawing inspiration from Huntsman’s rich legacy, House of Hazelwood’s masterful whisky makers worked closely with Huntsman’s Head Cutter and Creative Director, and whisky enthusiast Campbell Carey, to create a limited-edition 50-Year-Old Blended Scotch whisky – The Huntsman Blend. Artfully combining their finest aged malts to create an extraordinary whisky of which there are just 75 bottles available.
In perfect harmony with the whisky Campbell has designed a celebratory
Hazelwood estate cloth. The cloth is inspired by the timeless allure of the Speyside home from the rolling hills, dunnage whisky warehouses and highland flora and fauna which surround the grounds of Hazelwood House. Through the Huntsman, the tweed cloth is available by bespoke commission. This same cloth is used to create a fabric-bound hip flask to accompany the special edition of The Huntsman Blend 50-Year-Old-Blended Scotch Whisky, which is offered in a gift pack, showcased in an engraved wooden box and two generous sample bottles of the whisky – the ideal gift for the collector who likes to both savour and save.
